Pierre Jodlowski INSULÆ (2024–2025)** for six musicians, video, lights and electronics

Pierre Jodlowski’s new opera transports the audience to an island in the ocean of time, where three characters: a man and two women, attempt to understand the chaotic world around them and confront their thoughts and emotions. Cross the fluid boundaries between reality and fiction and observe fleeting images in this fireworks display of compositional and performance intermedia technologies. After its premiere in Warsaw, it will be presented at other European festivals.

Strobe lighting is used during the concert.



The concert is organised with the support of Austrian Cultural Forum and Institut français de Pologne.
The piece is commissioned by PHACE and éOle – studio de création musicale & with the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and SACEM - Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Éditeurs de Musique, a production by PHACE & éOle in co-production with Warsaw Autumn, Wien Modern, Osterfestival Tirol and GRAME – Centre National de Création Musicale.
