Multi-flute player, composer, and improviser, specialising in performing music on historical transverse flutes. She graduated from Cracow’s Academy of Music and the Conservatoire of Amsterdam. Her interests focus on points of convergence between historical music and art, sound aesthetics, performance practice, contemporary sensitivity, and new types of creative work. She creates intermedia projects and installations in which the traverso flute and other historical instruments are placed in various contemporary contexts. She is a cofounder and member of Silva Rerum Arte period instruments ensemble and president of the Gdańsk-based Silva Rerum Foundation. Since 2011 she has been in charge of programming the Capella Angelica – Music of St Mary’s Angels historical instruments festival at St Mary’s Church in Gdańsk. As a lecturer she collaborates with the Pedagogical University of Cracow and Gdańsk Academy of Music. She obtained her PhD from the latter academy in 2015, for a thesis on contemporary compositions for the baroque flute.
