A Wrocław-based audiovisual artist and environmental biologist. Oscillating around biocentrism in her work, she postulates a turn towards nature and the rejection of anthropocentric values. She holds a doctorate from Wrocław’s Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design, where she teaches a self-designed course on the foundations of bio and eco art. As a biologist she focuses on evolutionism and biodiversity. She analyses phylogenetic trees and studies the synergic effect of factors that cause taxon extinction. Her artistic works have featured in individual and collective exhibitions. Her projects and installations have been presented in, among others, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, China, France, and the Czech Republic. Trojanowska has held scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as well as the Jerzy Grotowski Scholarship, among others.
