Founded in 2014 in Vienna, it was named after The Black Page, a piece by Frank Zappa which is almost a black page due to the high density of notes. The ensemble performs works at the interface of music, technology and media art, both by well known and young local composers. In addition to numerous guest performances at such festivals as the Warsaw Autumn, PAN Festival (Seoul), Mixtur (Barcelona), Music Current (Dublin), Ultraschall (Berlin), Märzmusik (Berlin), Wien Modern, Wiener Festwochen, ImPulsTanz), since 2020 the ensemble has also held its own concert cycle in the Gläserne Saal of Vienna’s Musikverein.
