Born in Lebanon in 1991, he is a composer, musicologist and  teacher whose work bridges the musical heritage of the Levant  and the Western classical tradition. He trained in piano, composition and electronic music at the Lebanese National Higher  Conservatory of Music, and later studied musicology at Antonine  University. His artistic development was also shaped by numerous international residencies and advanced training programmes  carried out in Europe and the Middle East.

Central to his artistic identity is what he himself calls “contemporary Arabic music,” combining melodic and rhythmic traditions  based on Arabic maqamat with the structures of contemporary classical music. The aim of this aesthetic is to bring the musical  language of the Levant to international concert stages.

He has gained international recognition through composition  awards and commissions, including distinctions for the works  Folk Story and The Mouraba’ Dance, as well as awards from  institutions such as the American Viola Society and the IWBC  Emerging Composer Competition. His output includes orchestral, chamber, vocal and educational works, as well as numerous  arrangements of Arabic folk and classical repertoire, performed  by musicians in various countries.

Alongside his work as a composer, he is actively engaged in music  education and cultural organisation. He is the founder of ensembles and initiatives such as the Beirut Contemporary Ensemble,  as well as projects devoted to free music education and support  for contemporary Arab composers. In his artistic work he pursues a dual mission: the creative synthesis of Eastern and Western  cultures, and expanding access to contemporary classical music  inspired by Arabic traditions through education, performance  and publishing.
