Born in 1992 in the state of Georgia, United States, he is a composer known for combining Western art music with Middle  Eastern musical traditions. His work sits at the intersection of  cultures; he explores the possibilities of coexistence and mutual  enrichment between different musical worlds. Among his recent  commissions are a piano concerto for IRCAM and the Orchestre  National d’Île-de-France, a clarinet concerto for Kinan Azmeh  and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, and an orchestral work  for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has composed for numerous ensembles, from the International Contemporary Ensemble  to Imani Winds, demonstrating stylistic and performing versatility. His works have been performed by celebrated orchestras  and ensembles throughout the world, including the Minnesota  Orchestra and the JACK Quartet, as well as at concerts across  Europe, Asia and South America.

He has taken part in residency programmes organised by institutions such as the Millay Colony for the Arts and the Bogliasco  Foundation. He is also actively engaged in teaching, as a member  of the faculty at Columbia University and New Jersey City University.
