Magda Fejdasz and Weronika Pelczyńska are performers and dancers based in Warsaw. Together they develop practices of sisterhood, initiating choreographic and performative projects founded on cooperation mutual support and attentiveness to individual voices. They are drawn to forms of artistic practice that create community while leaving room for distinct experiences and perspectives. In their recent works, The Sculptresses and Soma, they explore the relationships between the body, sculpture and art-historical archives. Through choreography and performance, they return to the work of women artists—particularly those whose place in art history has been marginalised, overlooked or forgotten. They ask how movement, voice and performative action might bring these artists back into view, accord them renewed attention and recognition, and open up new ways of interpreting their legacies.
