Founded by Marta Zamojska-Makowska in 2000, Il Canto Magnificat is a children’s and youth choir based in Warsaw’s Wesoła  district. For more than 25 years it has brought together successive generations of young singers from Wesoła, Stara Miłosna  and the surrounding area, combining artistic work with music  education.

The choir has appeared at numerous local, national and international events, including congresses of the International Federation Pueri Cantores. Its competition successes include 1st Prize at the Betlejem u Avetek National Ecumenical Theatre and Music  Festival and 2nd Prize at the Venite Adoremus Mazovian Festival  of Religious and Patriotic Song. The choir’s repertoire encompasses sacred, classical, patriotic, folk and contemporary music. Liliana Bach has been the choir’s conductor and artistic director  since January 2026. Under her direction, the ensemble places particular emphasis on high standards of performance and musical  awareness. It builds a community founded on mutual respect,  responsibility and the pleasure of singing together.
