Drummer, composer, music producer, improviser and composer  of soundtracks for films and animations. He studied the percussion at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, graduating  in 2004.

Highly regarded as a performer of contemporary music, his repertoire includes works by 20th- and 21st-century composers such  as Helmut Lachenmann’s AIR (performed at the opening concert  of the 2015 Warsaw Autumn Festival with the Polish National  Radio Orchestra in Katowice under Alexander Liebreich), Steve  Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians and Daniel Variations (first Polish performance with the Kwadrofonik group), Terry Riley’s In C  (artistic direction of the album released by Bôłt Records), Per  Nørgård, Tadeusz Wielecki, Zygmunt Krauze, Tomasz Sikorski,  Cornelius Cardew, Zdzisław Piernik, and Arturas Bumšteinis.

He is known for his distinctive, sonoristic approach to percussion, combining traditional playing with the use of prepared  instruments, percussive objects, extended techniques and electronic devices. His work sits at the intersection between jazz, contemporary music, minimalism, and free improvisation.

Alongside his classical training, he has performed in jazz ensembles, where he explored the intricacies of improvisation and  experimental music. He is currently one of the most active drummers on the Polish improvised, experimental and free jazz scene.  He performs with artists from various musical genres, such as  jazz, world music, rock and blues, as well as improvised and electronic music.

He also performs and records as a soloist, presenting his own  repertoire and improvisations. He is a member and cofounder  of numerous original projects and improvisational collectives,  including the CEL duo (with Felix Kubin), Ben Bekele trio  (with K amil Piotrowicz and Igor Wiśniewski), Magneto (with  Bar tłomiej Tyciński and Piotr Domagalski), Opla (with Piotr  Bukowski), Zemiter (with Marcin Dymiter), as well as Mitch &  Mitch and the performance ensemble PROSZEK (with Oskar  Dawicki, Piotr Adamski and Mikołaj Małek). For several years,  he has been working with deaf people, forming the Deaf Percussion Orchestra. The result of this cooperation is the audiovisual  performance Bye, Bye Butterfly, presented at the 2025 Warsaw  Autumn Festival.

In addition to his concert and studio work, he composes music  for interdisciplinary projects, including performances and theatre  productions. His work is recognised for its artistic consistency, openness to experimentation and the ability to construct a sonic  narrative using seemingly minimalist means.
