This miniature for children’s voices, solo violin and fixed media  grew out of a participatory process that I developed over several  months with children from Warsaw’s Agatka Preschool. From  the outset, the work was conceived for the active involvement  of its five- and six-year-old performers. Their participation determined both the miniature’s form and content and directly  shaped the choice of performing resources. Whispered and spoken sounds alternate with delicate, hushed singing, while faint  instrumental sounds in the background complete the vocal layer.  Filled with a subtle instrumental ground from which successive  timbral qualities emerge, the work’s soundscape is an impression that invites us to pause amid the everyday rush, listen to  the sounds around us, and hear the Wind…
