Born in Ankara, 1985, aka Gucci Chunk, is a writer, performer, and performance artist based in Berlin. Their interest lies in queer methodologies (especially chronopolitics) and hybrid texts that deal with the performative lingo(s) of contemporary lifestyles. Influenced by Arabesk culture and late modernities, they imagine new situations out of real encounters that point out the problematics of heteropatriarchal structures. Other interests include Orientalism, self-Orientalisation (the perception of the “Eastern,” and how the Eastern sees themselves through this construction), as well as Eastern masculinities in relation to state governmentality. Göksu’s work has been shown at various institutions and festivals such as Sophiensäle, Volksb hne, HAU Berlin, KW Pogo Bar; Live Works Centrale Fies, 3hd Festival, The Parliament of Bodies Bergen Assembly 2019, and more.
