Stefańska, Aneta
graduated from the class of Magdalena Rostworowska at the Karol Szymanowski State Music Schools in Warsaw and obtained her master’s degree from the Chopin University of Music after studies with Piotr Hausenplas and Mateusz Szmyt (2020). Her accolades include the 1st Prize and special award of the Chopin University Chamber Orchestra in the 4th National Cello and Double Bass Tournament in Warsaw, 1st prizes in the 3rd and 5th Nationwide Young Cellists’ Competition in Sochaczew, Zdzisława Wojciechowska National Cello Confrontations in Bydgoszcz (2014), and the 5th National Young Cellists’ Encounters in Ełk. In the field of chamber music, she has won 1st prizes in the 14th Juliusz Zarębski International Music Competition, 12th Chamber Music Encounters in Sochaczew, and 4th Chamber Music Tournament on Three Levels in Bydgoszcz. She has been awarded scholarships by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Music–Talent–Passion Foundation. As a soloist, she has given performances with the Chopin University Chamber Orchestra, Zielona Góra Philharmonic, and Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Sopot. She has played chamber music at NOSPR Katowice (chamber music hall). In 2018/19 she was a participant of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy, and in 2019, of the European Union Youth Orchestra’s (EUYO) spring and summer tours. She is a regular member of the Chopin University Chamber Orchestra.
She plays a Paweł Migiel cello built in 2017.
