born in 1979 in Cracow, composer, author of music to animated films, video and sound installations, curator of musical–visual events. Graduate of many music schools, including the Academy of Music in Cracow and Brookes University in Oxford. Collaborations with other artists are the dominant characteristic of her work.

She creates mainly acoustic performances based on subtle murmuring sounds. Each is preceded by a workshop lasting a few days and preparing the participants for and familiarising them with a unique approach to sound, its role in space and, above all, the significance of their own contribution to the new work. The performances feature volunteers, often art school students as well as representatives of various social and age groups. Anna Szwajgier has worked with artists and musicians, shipyard workers and refugees, dancers and actors, choir members, children and senior citizens.

Her works have been presented at the Zachęta National Art Gallery and Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, Łódź Art Biennial, Malta Festival in Poznań, Viennafair, Cricoteka Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, Post Monument Sculpture Biennial in Carrara, Royal College of Art in London, and Turner Contemporary in Margate.
