Vocalist of the Year in the Jazz Top ranking by Jazz Forum magazine. Composer, author of lyrics, inspirator of the pioneering project Piano.pl, gathering—for the first time in the history of Polish music—leading Polish pianists of three generations on one stage, accompanied by the Atom String Quartet. 

She graduated in violin from the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She still plays the violin (notably in Włodzimierz Nahorny’s projects devoted to Chopin, Szymanowski, and Karłowicz), but is known to wider audiences primarily for her singing. One of few singers to have sung and recorded with Cesária Évora; their song Um Pincelada was very warmly received by music lovers all over the world. She has also cooperated with Nigel Kennedy, David Murray, Louis Winsbergi, Kepa Junkera, Toninho Horta, Tomasz Stańko, and a host of artists of the Polish music scene.

Anchored in jazz, she has sailed onto the open waters of experimentation on many occasions, venturing into more exotic areas as well as those closer to Polish shores. She is particularly fond of Brazilian music, as evidenced by the album Caminho, for which the percussion parts were recorded by the outstanding Brazilian percussionist Guello. Another experiment was the album and concert tour Lutosławski, Tuwim. Songs not only for children in which Dorota Miśkiewicz was joined by the Kwadrofonik ensemble. 

Dorota Miśkiewicz has released eight recordings, including the album Our Love, recorded with her father Henryk and brother Michał, premiered in March 2021. She has been involved in innumerable cooperation project with other artists.
