with her flexible and expressive high soprano, Eva Resch is one of the most exciting singers of the younger generation. A savvy interpreter of contemporary music, she was invited to the Teatro de Bellas Artes, Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, and to the Villa Massimo in Rome. She made guest appearances at the national theatres in Warsaw and Weimar, a Bonn Opera, Malmö Opera, as well as at the Munich Biennale, Wiener Festwochen, and Berliner Festspiele. She has sung roles in the world premieres of operas written by Wolfgang Rihm, Pascal Dusapin, Thomas Adès, Johannes Maria Staud, Vladimir Tarnopolski, Philipp Maintz, Gordon Kampe, and Anno Schreier. She has worked with outstanding directors and conductors such as Claus Guth, Franck Ollu, Stefan Asbury, Walter Koberá, Johannes Kalitzke, and Alicija Mounk. Eva also devotes herself with great enthusiasm to chamber music projects: she regularly interprets Benedict Mason’s Chaplin Operas with the Ensemble Modern, most recently at the Tchaikovsky theatre in Perm, at the Philharmonie in Essen, the Cité de la Musique/Festival d’Automne Paris, and together with the Collegium Novum at the Tonhalle Maag Zurich. She has also performed Schoenberg’s String Quartet no. 2 with the Asasello Quartet at the Philharmonie de Paris and Pierrot Lunaire with the Zafraan Ensemble at the Radialsystem Berlin. Her debut CD Being Beauteous (Genuin) and her latest CD Eden (Genuin) were nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award.
