Born in 1994, he selects musical objects from the past and provides them with new contexts in his works. His interests include camp aesthetics, Roxette songs, nested stories, and everyday life. He has collaborated with, among others, musicians of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, OMN New Music Orchestra, Ensemble Modern, Linea, United Instruments of Lucilin, Hashtag Ensemble, Ensemble Kompopolex, and Spółdzielnia Muzyczna contemporary ensemble, presenting his music at such festivals and events as MaerzMusik, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum, Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, the Katowice Festival of Premieres, as well as on BBC Radio 3 and Polish Radio Programme Two. 

Malinowski graduated in composition from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (MMus from the class of Simon Steen-Andersen, Niels Rønsholdt, and Juliana Hodkinson) and the Cracow Academy of Music (an honours master’s degree) in the class of Wojciech Widłak, under whose supervision he is currently pursuing a doctorate.
