Krzysztof Baculewski: pół wieku z piórem [Krzysztof Baculewski: Half a Century with Pen in Hand] – book premiere (publ. Chopin University Press 2023) and meeting with the author

The book is a selection of texts on music: analytic papers, texts focusing on individual issues, essays and features, interviews, and concert reviews, written by one of Poland’s most important and versatile contemporary music composers, who is also a musical life organiser, musicologist, music critic, and journalist. Over several decades of his work at Warsaw’s Chopin Academy he has shaped the artistic personalities of many of the most interesting contemporary music composers and performers. The book offers an insightful, spectacular, highly personal, unique and genuine overview of the last half a century of musical culture in Poland, as well as signalling prospects for its future development.
