Pacek, Przemysław
Born in 1999, a composer and violinist from Lublin, now studying electronic, film and theatre music composition at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He creates multimedia installations and music for modular synthesisers. What fascinates him in music is phenomena that are far from obvious and hard to grasp, but to which he invariably strives to attract the audience’s attention.
Author of the Too Seriously podcast on music composition, in 2020–22 Pacek was the vice-president of the Student Artistic and Research Group at the Chopin University’s Department of Composition and Theory of Music. He has received scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (Young Poland Programme, 2024), the Rector of Chopin University, Society of Authors ZAiKS, mayors of Warsaw and Lublin, Mazowieckie Provincial Government and the Marshal’s Office of Lubelskie Voivodeship. He has won prizes in many competitions for composers (including the 63rd Tadeusz Baird Competition for Young Composers. His works have been performed at Warsaw Autumn, NeoArte – Synthesiser of Arts (Reykjavik), and Nowa Muzyka festival (Bydgoszcz).
