Doctor of Arts in conducting, he studied in the class of Marcin Tomczak at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, with Gerd-Müller Lorenz at the High School of Music in Lübeck, and with Toomas Kapten at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. He further developed his skills at masterclasses with Arthur Sjögren, Jan Yngwy, Risto Joost, Colin Metters, Nikolai Alexeev, and Manuel Hernández-Silva.
He has cooperated with many choirs and orchestras, including Cappella Gedanensis, Academic Choir of the University of Gdańsk, Voces Musicales Chamber Choir (Estonia), Gothenburg Music Academy Choir, Silva Rerum Arte historical instruments ensemble, Berlin Sinfonietta, Elche City Symphony Orchestra, and the Lithuanian Municipal Symphony Orchestra in Vilnius. He regularly works with eminent contemporary composers such as Charles van Hemelryck, Tõnu Kõrvits, Paweł Łukaszewski, Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, Uģis Prauliņš, Páll Ragnar Pálsson, and Aleksandra Vrebalov.
He has won many scholarships and awards, including the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists, scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the dissemination of culture, and Award of the President of Estonia for the best university graduates in the country.
