Międzypokoleniowy Klub Piosenkowy STAYnia (Intergenerational Song Club STAYnia)
A singers’ ensemble made up of music enthusiasts of all ages living of Warsaw. Set up by the Music is for Everyone Foundation (headed by Justyna Jary), STAYnia performs traditional songs of many different cultures, including Polish, Ukrainian, Romani, and Jewish repertoire. Since STAYnia is not a choir in the traditional sense, there are no auditions, and everyone is welcome to join. They regularly give performances in Warsaw and other Mazovian centres, often accompanied by musicians from such bands as Alegancka Kapela, Bum Bum Orkestar, and Czessband. Highlights of STAYnia’s artistic schedule include appearances at Warsaw Philharmonic, Singer’s Warsaw – Festival of Jewish Culture, the EFF Philanthropic Conference at Targowa Creativity Centre, the Strefa Ciszy Royal Łazienki Music Festival, the festival at the Kurpie Farmstead in Kadzidło, the Pępek Multigenerational Music Festival, Tori Wrånes’s exhibition Handmade Acoustics at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art Warsaw, Midsummer Night in Łochów, as well as club concerts in SPATiF, Sen Pszczoły, and DZiK.
