Five fantasy insects have settled in well-known and much-liked Warsaw locations. The insects are: Mycofly toadstooler, bumblebuzzfly horrorquito, circus-leaved beetlesaurus, cactus butterglide, and violin-winged divecricket. They have come to Warsaw straight from outer space and will only stay a short while, for the duration of the famous Warsaw Autumn festival. Why at this particular time? Well, this is the time when non-obvious sounds rule supreme in our city. They are captivating sounds that call for attentive listening, sometimes other worldly like sounds from outer space. Some might call them “weird”. But it should be stated that our unusual insects are music lovers and particularly great fans of contemporary music. They also create their own original sounds, and for this reason they could hardly find accommodation at Warsaw Philharmonic, where their activity would interfere with performances of great works at “serious” concerts. Well, perhaps except for the mycofly and butterglide, which also produce sounds, but prefer to sit quiet and listen.

Each of these unique insects has a spot in Warsaw that it likes most. Most of the time the insects debate and work together at WOK Lab or attend selected festival concerts in the evenings. For the night, however, they retire to their favourite spots. Each of these spots has an original soundscape of its own and so each attracts a different space insect.
