Founded in Bydgoszcz in 2020 at the initiative of the composer  and percussionist Rafał Gorzycki, the Bydgoszcz Composers’  Collective brings together artists from several generations. Its  members are graduates of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of  Music in Bydgoszcz and the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy  of Music in Gdańsk, and include composers, instrumentalists  and a music producer. The Collective is one of several ensembles  associated with the Foundation for Polish Chamber Music – ART  MINTAKA, and has close links with the artistic communities centred around the Mózg club and the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music. Its members perform with numerous ensembles across classical, contemporary, electronic, jazz and club music. Working collaboratively, they use graphic scores, aleatoric frameworks and  improvisation as starting points, gradually shaping the resulting  material into finished works. The Collective’s forthcoming album,  Ricercar for Miles, Ricercar for Elvin, is scheduled for release by  Fundacja Słuchaj! in autumn 2026.
