Composer and violinist who combines his artistic work with  educational, organisational and outreach activities. A graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where  he currently runs a composition class and serves as director of  the Institute of Composition. He further developed his compositions skills during courses in Apeldoorn, Radziejowice, Rēzekne,  and Venice. In 2016, he was awarded a PhD, and in 2022, a postdoctoral degree in the arts.

He is the author of over 120 compositions spanning instrumental,  vocal, electronic, electroacoustic and multimedia music, as well  as projects at the intersection of science and art. In his work, he  allies the discipline of precision and the freedom of risk, convention and experimentation, communicativeness and abstraction.  He does not shy away from irony, deconstruction, and dialogue  with popular culture.

His art revolves around the original concept of “para-serious  music,” rooted in the tradition of high culture yet subverting its  conventions, rituals, and hierarchies. Its starting point remains  sound, which serves as a pretext for constructing complex contexts of perception, parallel narratives, and the disruption of  established concert conventions. In this context, a musical work  operates at the intersection of concert, theatre, performance  and commentary on its own mechanisms of operation, creating  a space of tension between the audible and the visible, the real  and the imagined, the serious and the absurd. His works have been performed over 350 times in Poland and  internationally, notably at festivals such as the ISCM World Music  Days, Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum, Musica Polonica  Nova, Musica Electronica Nova, Poznań Music Spring, Warsaw Music Encounters, and Musica Moderna, performed by  orchestral and chamber ensembles such as NOSPR (directed  by Marzena Diakun), NFM Wrocław Philharmonic (dir. Geoffrey Paterson), Amadeus Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra  (dir. Agnieszka Duczmal), Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (dir. Risto  Joost), Sinfonietta Cracovia (dir. Vincent Kozlovsky), Orkest  de Ereprijs (dir. Rob Vermeulen), the New Music Orchestra  (dir. Szymon Bywalec), Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble (dir. Sinead  Hayes), Spółdzielnia Muzyczna Contemporary Ensemble, Sepia  Ensemble, Hashtag Ensemble and Kwartludium. His compositions have been recorded on over a dozen CDs, including releases  on the DUX, Orchid Classics and Requiem Records labels. He has been awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit and the Meritorious for Polish Culture Medal. He is a member of the Polish  Composers’ Union, Polish Society for Contemporary Music, Polish Association for Electroacoustic Music, and the Academy of  Young Scholars and Artists.
