is an internationally successful conductor, equally at home in  the Classical-Romantic repertoire and in contemporary music.

He was a cofounder of the Zeitgenössische Oper Berlin and  has directed the European Workshop for Contemporary Music  (EWCM) for over twenty years.

Rüdiger Bohn teaches conducting at the Robert Schumann High  School of Music in Düsseldorf and is also highly regarded internationally as a conducting teacher.

In 2017 he received the Decoration of Honour for Services to  the City of Warsaw.
