Singer and instrumentalist, he delves into the secrets of Polish  rural music. He learned to play the violin with Jan Gaca, an oldgeneration master of the oberek from the Radom region, and  the accordion with Stanisław Witkowski, a clarinettist and saxophonist from the Kielce region. He has hundreds of hours of playing for dancing and on stages at home and abroad behind him. He performs with Tęgie Chłopy, Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra, Kompania Adama Struga, Monodia Polska, Radical Polish  Ansambl, and the band Nicponie, as well as solo as Sam Kowalski.
