Nuro G / Goosa N - Dominik Strycharski International Festival of Contemporary Music Warsaw Autumn

Goosa N, for large mixed choir, forms part of the hybrid installation Goosanderopolis. The composition takes its subject directly  from the exhibition and installation: the goosanders that have  altered their migration route. At its heart lies the ceaseless evolution of every species—life as an unending experiment upon  itself. One of its central conceptual threads is hybrid thought  and action, which prove to be inherent in nature and art alike.  The choir itself is conceived in hybrid terms: as a mass of sound;  as the sum of individual voices; as a single living organism; and  as a structure in constant flux, knowing neither rest nor stasis.  Goosa N is a hybrid sound installation, born where numerous  ideas—seemingly contradictory and worlds apart—prove to converge. It is also a metaphor for the city or, more broadly, for any  space in which nature and civilisation coexist in harmony.
