graduated in violin from Cracow’s Academy of Music after studies with Mieczysław Szlezer and completed postgraduate studies in contemporary chamber music with Adam Kaczyński. She has taken part in numerous masterclasses and courses, including Impuls Graz and the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt. In 1998–2008 she gave numerous concerts in Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Lithuania, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Mexico as leader of the string trio Violarium. She appears as a soloist notably in the works of Berio, Boulez, Carter, Haas, Kurtág, Nono, Saariaho, and Sørensen, and compositions have been written for her by the leading Polish composers of the younger generation including Wojciech Blecharz, Wojciech Ziemowit Zych, Jagoda Szmytka, Sławomir Wojciechowski, Sławomir Kupczak, Artur Kroschel, and Rafał Zapała. She has performed with Cologne’s ensemble Musikfabrik notably at Berlin’s Musikfest and Bochum’s Ruhrtriennale. On behalf of the Institute of Music and Dance, she co-hosts educational contemporary music workshops for teenagers (Harmonies and Noises and Dźwiękowisko /Sound Fair cycles). She has received scholarships from the Polish Minister of Culture. Her CD Eidos, recorded with pianist Joanna Opalińska, was nominated for the 2017 Fryderyk Award in the category of chamber music. She also took part in the recording of a DVD dedicated to Kuba Krzewiński’s works. She performs with Warsaw’s Chain Ensemble, as well as contemporary music ensembles ow unit 3 (trio with cellist Mikołaj Pałosz and pianist Adam Kośmieja) and ow unit 2 (duo with Mikołaj Pałosz). Her CD Aure, recorded with Pałosz, will be released in autumn 2021.
