Marchetti, Lionel
born in 1967 in Marseilles, composer of musique concrète, performer, and improviser on various electronic–analogue as well as digital instruments, modified loudspeakers, and so forth. He also writes poetry and essays on musique concrète. He performs his own compositions with the use of 4-, 8-, and 12-channel acousmonium. He is also active as an improviser. He has worked with musicians such as Jérôme Noetinger, Xavier Garcia, Seijiro Murayama, Jean-Baptiste Favory, Emmanuel Holterbach, Pierre Mottron, Yan Yun, Carole Rieussec, Sébastien Églème, Michel Doneda, Patrick Charbonnier, and Nicolas Losson, as well as Japanese performer and dancer Yoko Higashi. For the last few years, he has performed musique concrète with ensembles such as Decibel, UN, and the Bomonstre trombone trio.
