Born in 1991, in 2011 Rémi Schwartz took up percussion studies with Emmanuel Séjourné, Stéphane Fougeroux, and Denis Riedinger at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin, graduating with an honours MMus Degree in 2017. By that time, he had been awarded two prestigious international 1st prizes (PAS Italy, 2010, and ConUco Cordoba, 2013), as well as the Prize of City of Strasbourg. 

He performs as a soloist with orchestras and instrumental ensembles such as Cordoba Symphony, Strasbourg Philharmonic, and Ukho Ensemble. He has been a soloist in Les Percussions de Strasbourg since 2016. 

He is a co-founding member of the Baka Trio, with whom he performs throughout France, presenting original creations for young audiences (shows, workshops, music classes, film-concerts). Strongly committed to pedagogical work, he is a state-qualified percussion teacher and always devotes an important part of his projects to education.
