Visual artist, author of videos, art objects, and spatial installations; graduate of Poznań’s University of the Arts and Hochschule für Bildende Künste – Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main.
His works have been presented in Poland and abroad, among others at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the International Architecture Exhibition during the Venice Biennale, and the Museum of Modern Art (MMK) in Frankfurt. He received numerous scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as well as the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. Domicz was an artist-in-residence in Vienna, Düsseldorf, Poznań, and Siena. His video projects have been presented at such film festivals as, among others, Short Waves in Poznań (special award), and at Warsaw’s Krytyka Polityczna Clubhouse. In his works, Domicz draws on the narrative potential of space and its sociopolitical implications. He creates systems at points of convergence between private and public space. Apart from his personal artistic work, he runs the quasi-curatorial project Office for Narrated Spaces and the Video Studio at Warsaw’s Academy of Photography. Represented by Wschód Gallery, Domicz lives and works in Warsaw.
