Waligóra-Tarnowska, Anna
Holder of a DMA degree in conducting and an MA in speech therapy, she graduated in artistic (music) education from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and in voice training from the postgraduate course at the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music. For many years she has worked with youth and children’s choirs, including Ergo Cantemus! (Secondary School no. 2, Lublin), Kantylena (Lublin), and Conquest of Music Choir (at the Holy Family Catholic Primary School no. 109 in Warsaw, where she also teaches music). She has led the VRC choir (since 2018), directed the Catholic Academy Choir and The Joy of Music Choir of the Witold Lutosławski Secondary Music School in Warsaw (since 2021). Since 2008 she has been part of the Singing Poland project (as a conductor and teacher at numerous voice workshops for choirs and conductors; at present also as the project’s regional curator for the Mazovian Voivedeship). She is the winner of many choral competition prizes and frequent participant of the Polish National Youth Choir’s conducting seminar.
