A group of children and teenagers aged 8–14, regularly collaborating with Guliwer Puppet Theatre company on various artistic projects including creative action, performative reading, and even mini-shows. The group members take part in weekly workshops, brainstorming, debates, and rehearsals, during which they work on mini-spectacles, song lyrics, stories, as well as engaging in plastic arts, dance and acting activities. They learn the ropes of working in an artistic institution, including the professional skills of set designers, directors, actors, visual artists, and many others. They are also regularly consulted on the Guliwer Theatre’s various projects. The group’s adult initiators and moderators by principle do not envisage members’ participation in artistic contests since it could release and encourage the spirit of competition, at odds with the aims of integration, multiculturality, and diversity.

The Multicultural Artistic Group emerged in 2022/23, when a large number of children with migration experience had come to Warsaw. They originally spoke different languages. Children of different nationalities and orientations, representing different social strata, neurodiverse and with various diagnoses – have all been invited to join in. Our joint creative activities integrate the young people, who communicate in the language of the theatre and contemporary art. Currently the group consists of 12 individuals.
