A theatre director and puppeteer, artistic director of AKCENT International Festival of Documentary Theatre, and founder of the International Summer School of Documentary Theatre. She focuses on productions that bring together professional artists and representatives of specific social groups. She has thus worked, among others, with South African township communities, the hip-hop environment, new immigrants in Czechia, the Romani community, as well as various social groups in the United States and other countries. Her spectacles have been presented at festivals in Czechia and abroad. For instance, her Ordinary People, which she co-directed with Wen Hui, was shown in the main programme of the Festival d’Avignon and at the Festival d’Automne in Paris. Her recent productions include Why Not Me? (a collaboration with NEST theatre in Naples) and Eight Compositions on the Lives of Ukrainians (her latest spectacle about the lives of ordinary people in wartime conditions).
