In this work, I started with a very simple idea: the repetition/degradation of material. Linear, predictable and therefore reassuring processes are gradually drawn towards the extremes of silence and saturation, through slowdowns to the point of immobility or accelerations to the point of paroxysm. The idea of a “musical process” is merely a pretext that allows me to make perceptible what really interests me: the emergence of a hidden violence that is revealed only through the chaotic drift of the material, through the ritual of its destruction as a discursive element that gives form, and its resurrection as incandescent material, now beyond all control.
