Norwegian composer and curator, important figure in Norway’s musical life as artistic director of contemporary music festivals: Ultima in Oslo, The Nordic Music Days, and Happy Days Sound Festival. Currently he is head of development at the Oslo Philharmonic and chairs the Norwegian Arts Council. 

His works have been performed at festivals including Donaueschinger Musiktage, Maerzmusik, Gaudeamus Music Week, Huddersfield, and Ultima. His commissions include pieces for SWR Symphony orchestra, Ensemble Modern, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a regular lecturer at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt.
