violist in the Royal String Quartet since 2018, he graduated from Warsaw’s Chopin University of Music in the class of Piotr Reichert and Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka. His awards include the 2nd Prize in the Michał Spisak International Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza, 3rd Prize and special award at Wrocław Competition for Young, and 3rd Prize (with Tesseris Quartet) at the 1st International String Quartet Competition in Radom. He is the leader of the viola section in chamber orchestras: Chain Ensemble (led by Andrzej Bauer) and Warsaw String Players (founded by Janusz Wawrowski), as well as a member of Trimagine trio (2nd Prize and special Czesław Niemen Award in Polish Radio’s New Tradition Folk Festival, 2019). He has also played chamber music concerts with members of Berliner Philharmoniker during the Summer Music Academy in Lusławice. With the Royal String Quartet, he has appeared at festivals such as Sacrum Profanum, Chain Witold Lutosławski Festival, Paweł Mykietyn’s Contexts Festival, Trzy-Czte-ry Festival, Beethoven Festival in Moscow, and Jerzy Waldor Summer Festival in Radziejowice. He is also a member of Accademia Gustav Mahler in Bolzano. With the YouTube Symphony Orchestra he performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall. With Antonina Styczeń and Zuzanna Federowicz, he recorded Mieczysław Wajnberg’s Trio for Flute, Viola, and Harp (for TACET; the CD was nominated for the 2018 International Classical Music Awards). He has held scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Polish Children’s Fund.
