Piotrowska, Anita
is a 5th year student of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw, Department of Puppet Art in Białystok. Her show Ears? Eyes? Tail?, patroned by Agata Biziuk, was presented at the 11th Young Directors Forum in Cracow (2021) and 5th Festival of Small Premieres in Wałbrzych (2021). She has directed and authored the scenography for shows such as Bohdan Butenko’s Gapiszon and Zuzia at the Animation Theatre in Poznań (2021) and Mom’s Hair at the Banialuka Puppet Theatre in Bielsko-Biała (2022). She was assistant director and scenographer to Janni Younge during the Wild Hearts show at the Puppet Theatre in Białystok (2019). Her theatre projects Beckett and Kubuś P (2019) were presented at the 10th Maskarada Live Form Theatre Festival (2019) and 13th Metaformy Puppet Schools Meetings in Wrocław (2019).
She has directed and created the scenography for the film A Letter from Grandma (2021), patroned by Bernarda Anna Bieleni; the film was shown at the 30th Puppet Theatre Festival in Opole, NoWHere Film Festival in South Korea, and Neisse Film Festival in Germany.
She has run visual arts and theatre workshops for children, notably at the Banialuka Puppet Theatre in Bielsko-Biała, Książnica Podlaska, Białystok Culture Centre, culture houses in Choroszcz, Czarna Białostocka, and Grabówka.
