Podłucka, Agnieszka
violinist and violist. She graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw where she studied in Jan Stanienda’s violin class and in Piotr Reichert’s viola class. Currently she is an assistant in the viola and chamber music class at the Chopin University. She is the lead violist of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. Since 2020 she has studied the baroque violin with Martyna Pastuszka at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
She has won awards at several national and international violin, viola and chamber music competitions: Primuz International Strings Competition (2021, 1st Prize), 67th ARD International Music Competition in Munich (2018, 2nd round), Michał Spisak 11th International Music Competition (2017, 1st Prize), I Intercollegiate Viola Competition (2017, 1st prize), 2nd Baltic Competition for String Duos (2016, 1st Prize), 2nd Chamber Music Competition in students category (2015, 1st Prize), 20th International Johannes Brahms Competition (2012, semifinal); 4th Tadeusz Wroński Young Solo Violin Competition (2012, distinction). She has attended numerous masterclasses and festivals (violin, viola, chamber music, orchestra) such as International Summer Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna; Musethica International Chamber Music Festival in Spain, Sweden and Germany; International Chamber Music Festival Ensemble in Wałbrzych; International Chamber Music Festival Q’arto Mondi in Poznań; Singer’s Warsaw: Jewish Culture Festival; Summer Academy of Music with Scharoun Ensemble from Berliner Philharmoniker; iPalpiti Festival in United States.
She has cooperated notably with Tabea Zimmerman, Jerzy Kosmala, Stefan Kamasa, Wolfgang Boettcher, Peter Riegelbauer, Micha A ham, Wolfram Brandl, Christoph Horak, Jose Gallardo, Avri Levitan, Agata Szymczewska, Marcin Zdunik, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Jakub Jakowicz, Marcin Baranowski, Krzysztof Chorzelski, and Danuta Głowacka-Pitet.
Agnieszka Podłucka has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician in her native Poland in venues such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Royal Castle in Warsaw, Łańcut Castle, National Forum of Music in Wrocław, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Książ Castle in Wałbrzych, as well as in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. She was a member of Sinfonia Varsovia Academy as a violist. She took part in orchestra tours with the European Union Youth Orchestra and Baltic Sea Philharmonic. She was awarded the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage scholarship.
