How many balloons do you need to make your sound? - Fabio Machiavelli
The piece is about the evolution of a relationship between two sounds closely related to each other. The two main sounds alternate in a sort of dialogue that becomes increasingly dense and complex. The path of evolution leads the listener through the various possible manifestations of sounds, which are presented each time bringing out different sound qualities. The continuous process leads to the last sound (the one mentioned in the title), the only element of a purely harmonic nature, significantly different from the overall sound world of the piece, characterised by a strong contrast with the elements that generated it.
