Bargieł, Konrad
Born in 1995 in Bielsko-Biała, he graduated with honours from Natalia Kurzac-Kotula’s cello class at the Katowice Academy of Music. He is now an MMus student in Alexander Gebert’s class at the High School of Music in Detmold. He has won top prizes in nationwide and international competitions, including the 10th National Dezyderiusz Danczowski Cello Competition in Poznań (honourable mention), International Accordion Competition in Klingenthal (2nd Prize in the category of chamber ensembles),1st Prizes in Geneva, Rome, Brussels, and Kyoto, 3rd Prizes in the North Music Competition and International Moscow Music Competition.
He developed his abilities notably with Garry Hoffman, Frans Helmerson, Roberto Trainini, Jeroen Reuling, Jelena Očić, Jakob Kullberg, Paweł Głombik, Stanisław Firlej, Kazimierz Michalik, Adam Krzeszowiec, and Łukasz Frant. In 2022 he took up the post of cello section leader in the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. He also regularly appears with the NOSPR, AUKSO, Archetti Chamber Orchestra of the City of Jaworzno, and {oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna (Historical Orchestra). He has shared the stage with musicians and conductors such as Rainer Honeck, Daniel Stabrawa, Lorenzo Coppola, Jakub Jakowicz, Łukasz Długosz, Krzysztof Penderecki, Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, Michał Klauza, Massimiliano Caldi, Ruben Silva, and Hobart Earle. He also regularly appears with pianist Marta Plasota and cellist Michał Koziński in NOVE TRIO. He has received scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Young Poland programme, and Pro Musica Bona Foundation in Cracow.
