The piece is a kind of farewell; not so much with early music as whole as with its effects, sounds and instruments. Although linked to contemporary means and techniques, it does not prioritise any of the styles reflected in it, and the shadow becomes a way of blurring contours and evoking visions. The “allusionistic” form becomes, albeit in a small way, a vehicle of space and time.
