Costume designer and designer, cofounder of the Skrawki studio. A pianist and music historian by education, she has held a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Science. She works on film, television, music, and theatre productions. She is the author of the trash, TRASH 2.0, and Stare śmieci collections, created in the spirit of zero waste, in which she uses recycled materials and gives new life to forgotten things. She has designed costumes for many performances, including Chamstwo (Współczesny Theatre in Wrocław), Dobry piesek (Współczesny Theatre in Szczecin), Casting (Collegium Nobilium Theatre in Warsaw), Mój pierwszy rave (Nowy Theatre in Łódź), and Dirty Talk (Pantomime Theatre in Wrocław). She is also involved in social projects: her work has supported charitable campaigns, including the Desa Auction House’s No Human is Illegal auction for immigrants. In 2020, she created the Love Thy Neighbour scarf, which became one of the symbols of the protests of that time. Sakowska’s work combines attention to detail with bold experimentation with form and colour, as well as a philosophy of sustainable fashion.
