A group composed of children and teenagers aged 8–14, permanently operating at Guliwer Puppet Theatre, collaborating with the Guliwer Theatre’s professional crew on various artistic forms, creativity projects, performative reading events, and even mini-shows. The Group’s members take part in weekly workshops, debates, brainstorming and rehearsals. They create small-scale spectacles, song lyrics, and graphic works. They also appear as dancers and actors. They learn the ropes of working in an artistic institution and the professional skills of set designers, stage directors, actors, and visual artists, among others. They also become regular consultants on the Guliwer Theatre’s various projects. The group’s adult initiators and moderators by principle do not endorse artistic contests, as they encourage a competitive spirit at odds with the aims of integration, multiculturality, and diversity. The Multicultural Artistic Group emerged in 2022/23, when a large number of children with migration experience arrived, originally speaking different languages. Children of different nationalities and orientations, representing different social environments, including neurodiverse persons – have all been invited to join in. The joint creative activities integrate the young people, who communicate in the language of the theatre and contemporary art. Currently the group consists of twelve children and teenagers.
